During a 17-year career with the Israeli Defense Force (IDF), Shai attained the rank of Major where he specialized in counter terrorism planning and operations. He was also responsible for leading special counter terrorism units with responsibility for all aspects of training, administration, planning and execution. Shai left the military to work in both Russia and Kazakhstan on projects involving the setting up and running of operational security structures in the aviation sector. He was the head of Security for ‘El Al Airlines’ in the UK and recently acted as the Security Coordinator for the Castrol EURO 2012 Guest Program during the recent European Football Tournament in Poland and Ukraine. Since October 2012 Shai founded SQR Group and he is the CEO for the whole group.
